4 leg injuries to starters over the course of the year... You just can't afford not to go 11-12 deep anymore
Some teams can because nobody ever gets injured. But we are generally never part of that group.

Doesn’t sound too good regarding Nelson

If it’s a lower body injury involving an Alabama basketball player it definitely is bad news.

FL lost their big man last year to a broken leg in the SECT and it changed their whole end of season. Injuries are crucial for success at the end, but think about what just happened with Duke losing Cooper Flagg. That’s way worse than Nelson, although both are frustrating.

We lost Latrell for the F4 run last year (he played in the F4 game), but I think we were decently healthy in 2023’s #1 overall. I know Brandon Miller was a little banged up, but we were up 7 in the 2nd half to SDSU and he seemed to be playing ok other than turnovers (nobody shot well that game but don’t think that was injury related).

We needed Mallette to keep playing and use Naas. That added length on the perimeter would have been nice at the end of the season.

We're having to use Philon and Aden to initiate the offense because it's not good when Sears does it, so we often end up pretty short on the perimeter. Really hurt us yesterday. If we're gonna be shorter, we better be lighting it up from deep.

Looked benign yesterday sitting on bench with no crutches or ice on the knee. Never saw it happen during game

He had an ice pack on his knee. It was underneath the white leg sleeve. You could see the mule in the knee area and I knew he wasn’t coming back in then.

Could be just a sprain.

Thank God it's not an ACL
