His lack of lateral quickness was a problem at times, although the same was true for Proctor who I thought came in dinged, out of shape or both.
Last year was so complicated up front due to injuries, a new system and a lack of protection calls that I don’t feel like I can completely isolate the variables as far as pros and cons other than what I saw on the field which was a pretty mediocre OL.

I feel like Proctor has been badly out of shape the entire time he’s been at Bama. He’s a big dude but 360 lbs is waaaaaaay too heavy. He desperately needs to drop at least 30 lbs to improve on his quickness. There are times he will get beat by a guy making a big play but he got way too many times because he wasn’t quick enough.

He can be a 330lb tackle or a 360lb guard, but if he wants to get drafted he’s going to have to decide on one of those two paths.

We gave guys like Cornell first team reps. It means nothing unless you’ve got a significant portion of the snaps across spring.
