The one option I keep harping on is reforming youth sports in Alabama.

Only way you'll see any change on anything in Alabama is after everyone else did it 20 years ago.

Washington wanted a huge bag. Bama is reallocating funds.

It's honestly kind of strange to see a basketball decommitment. Football, I expect at least one, especially if it's an early commitment. But it seems like it's pretty damn rare to see it in basketball.

Illinois I’m not sure. They’re having to spread money through Football too.

Some billionaire named Larry Gies recently gave them $100 million for athletics.

Whether it benefits my team or not, it's a shame that this is what it's come to. I realize that it's capitalism and I'm certainly not faulting the players, but it's a shame that college athletics has come to who has the most money.

At the United Center vs a top 10 team that plays an exciting style? You know his arse was either courtside or in a box.

Random non-Alabama stuff, but I’m sort of fascinated by how bad Xaivian Lee has been for Florida.

PER isn’t the best stat, favors big men, etc., but his PER is a 6.2.

His per game shooting numbers: 22.6% from the field, 15.8% from 3. Not super low volume either: his average night is a 2-10 from the field, 1-7 from 3. Only gets to the line twice a game too.

I guess if you wanted to be nice, his assist to turnover ratio isn’t the worst, maybe he’ll get it together a bit at some point, etc.

He is shooting fade away 3s off the dribble instead of catch and shoot 3s.
Not sure if that has to do with the competition change.

He won a championship with Kawhi back when Kawhi could play more than 4 games in a row which feels like forever ago

Kawhi got his title without Pop and the Spurs then went to LA to commit wage theft

My favorite Kawhi story. I don’t care if it’s true. Read this on Reddit a while back:

While with the Spurs, Kawhi was known for his love of red apples. One time after practice everyone decided to go out for a team dinner. When it was his turn to order, Kawhi waived off the waiter and instead pulled out a bag of 12 apples. Coach Popovich asked what he was doing and Kawhi simply replied "Apple time, apple time." He then ate all 12 apples with a knife and fork.
