do we really think TBB is leaving? This is the perfect system for his skill set. He just needs experience and some good weight.

He needs a lot more than that.. for starters he has zero basketball acumen.

Real learning is done by practice and studying film.

You said this is the perfect system for his skill set and I'm just wondering what his skill set is. He can't take anyone off the dribble, he can't create his own shot, he gets pushed out of the lane with ease by guys half his size, he shoots his 3 point shot from the waist so he needs to be wide open. He can't defend his position or the 3. TBB is 6'10 and I can count on 0 fingers how many put back dunks he had this year coming off missed shots, that's troubling. At best he is a guy that could be a nice piece at a mid major where he can find his way. If we are serious about winning a national title, we don't need to be paying projects

Hes still learning how to move his body correctly on a basketball court. That comes from with drills and playing. Defending off the correct foot, playing off 2 feet and not playing with your top half moving faster than your bottom half, timing rebounds, boxing out without over setting, using your shoulders to create proper space, learning to see a balls path and know ahead of time which way it will bounce...etc. Those are the types of the skills he struggles with. We need to have patience. He was playing hurt most of the year too. He absolutely has potential, and I want him on our team.

Any possibility we make a move on Jaland Lowe who just entered the portal? We need a pg and he looked great against us in one of the few games he played in for UK

I'd pass. He was already pretty inefficient at Pitt and the increased pace of play at Kentucky just made it worse.

I kinda hope we try to hang on to Hannah. I think he will have a great year if he stays and would bring some eilte defense on the perimeter

Hopefully he is

I don't know how he is perfect for the system when he is an inconsistent shooter and can't physically keep up so doesn't rebound well and struggles guarding SFs and PFs.

He was one of the big misses that cost us this season

I’m hearing NIL for basketball is being increased, not for inflation, but to attract better players. It’s gonna cost more to bring in really good front court guys if Bama wants to win a NC in basketball.
They aren’t doing it with transfers from Pepperdine and Popcorn State.

for me its the same as last off season. he needs to add something around 20lbs of muscle. if not then i dont see his potential ever being reached. not that he should be encouraged to leave but i dont see keeping him as a higher priority, so it just depends. for example one name ill personally be hoping enters the portal is jordan burks at ucf. hes on the higher end of efficiency for a stretch 4 and i believe is originally from decatur. ill take players of that caliber over hoping bowen can chad out.

His 3PT shot looked a little better than expected as well.

I hope so. One of my takeaways from March is that Nate knew he didn't have a chance with NIL for Yaxel after 1 call to his agent. Not sure we can ever compete with the billionaire boosters though. But I trust Nate to reload like he's done year over year. Our time will come.

There's great news to hear. No I'm surprised they have the specific number mentioned. If we can get our nil up into that range, that will be huge in attracting top talent. It might have helped us the land a couple freshmen we had hoped to get in this class.
