I am not wishing something bad for the kid. I want Overton back next year so I hope he is seen as 2nd round or later for now so he returns.

night....something about Lake Martin definitely attracts Barn coaches.

It makes absolutely no sense. The lake itself as well as the surrounding area is a literal shithole. I could understand if it were Guntersville or Lanier but I just don't see what's so fascinating about Martin.

Really, I will say the fishing is much better at Guntersville if that's your cup of tea, but Martin is far better in every other way.

Aside from that, if anyone here wants to believe that Alabama’s lack of in-state and regional recruiting success, or lack of DL recruiting success is sustainable on a national championship level, more power to ya. Not

This is a stupid arse point. If you bring in better players from out of state then who cares. The only slight argument is they might be more prone to transfer but that’s it. Oh, and frick AU

Right ? Did any Georgia fans care that Brock Bowers is a California native ? He is a beast that any team would have loved to have on their roster. I don’t think that anyone cares where the guys come from. Many of Alabama’s stars under Saban were from Florida.

If he were from Alabama, he might be worth a damn.

Again, I must say that it is immensely entertaining watching y’all misconstrue and totally hijack my posts for your own apparent weak attempts to discredit and ridicule me.

Hyperbole, much?

I was sent this link last night by someone who knows my thoughts on college sports and is pretty much coming around to the same mindset. Thought it was fitting to share this on the same day as the season wraps up. Just a little more.....food for thought.

I do agree that this thing desperately needs "guardrails", but even then it's still basically professional sports. Then the questions still remain. The entity which is responsible for enforcing the rules has to have both the resources AND willingness to do so. Good luck with that!

Scroll to the last 5 minutes or so to hear the relevant part of the interview.

Good rant

Go get him. Let Derek Meadows spend a year in the S&C program and Noah Thomas and Isaiah Horton could be our Twin Towers with RW and Bernard.
