This is exactly what I struggle to come to terms with in this new era of college football. Is the one season we're gonna get from the Colorado transfer worth the 3 seasons we'd get from #41 ?

The problem is its a false assumption. With Lawson and Jefferson coming back, it's unlikely #41 sticks around regardless of the Colorado transfer.
That's the reality of 2025. If a kid doesn't see obvious playing time on your team after 1 year, it's 50/50 at best of whether he stays or goes. Even if the hard truth is, he's just not ready to play. Here, or there.

Updated the list on first page.
This Justin kid doesn't make sense. We need to hold on to him. He has a chance to start next year. He's not quite ready just yet but he showed promises. Bama gotta hold on to him and not let him go.

What are you supposed to do if a guy wants assurances he's going to play? He looks promising, but the days of stacking talent and being able to wait for three years to play it is over.
From Okoronkwo's perspective, he just went through a year where he barely played, we are bringing back two starters, we are bringing in a highly-experienced guy, and a guy in your same class (Cayden Jones) appears to be either equal or in front of you on the depth chart. He could stick around for next year and develop and he's still far from guaranteed to be on the field in 2026.

It is vitally important going forward that our depth pieces be extremely bad at football and never flash even a hint of potential. I'll let Coach know the new strategy.

No, it's vitally important that we understand that our depth pieces will have to be replaced most years. Either through HS ranks or the portal. It is what it is.

He played a lot on St and got good snaps at LB. The potential is there.

I agree with you, but that position looks pretty crowded for next season from his perspective.

It's where Cam Skattebo learned to run the ball. Maybe they can help Agiye.

Incorrect. That's a dated mindset. We fill our depth with intramural hosses (this way, we should only need to offer about a $1mil/per to get guys to stick) and go all out on the starters.

FYI on Faison, according to Tim Watts there are some eligibility concerns with him that could take a while to sort out.

Then we should skip him. Running back room is set.
