Good for him. I know the NFL USUALLY hires some of the best coaches but he was so underwhelming here

Quick update: while not serving as an analyst, former #Alabama backup quarterback Braxton Barker — and son of Jay Barker — has also joined the Crimson Tide's staff as a graduate assistant, opting for the position rather than transferring.

The $35,000 salary is identical to the one fired USC coach Steve Sarkisian received as an analyst for Alabama in 2016. Current Tide offensive coordinator Mike Locksley arrived at Alabama as an analyst in 2016 making $45,000 a year. And Tosh Lupoi, now defensive coordinator, was paid a little more than $28,000 in his season as an analyst in 2014.
Last season, Alabama's 10 analysts were paid between $31,300 and $88,100. A full list of those analysts and their annual compensation, according to the UA financial database:
-- Dean Altobelli: $47,646.62
-- Garrett Cox: $44,475.62
-- Rob Ezell: $31,300
-- Brendan Ferrell: $88,100.08
-- Alex Mortensen: $31,300
-- Wesley Neighbors: $86,600.08
-- Shea Tierney: $33,800
-- Chris Weinke: $35,700
-- Dan Werner: $60,000 (March-December) at $5,000/month
-- William Vlachos: $45,112.22
