I hope so, but I think I read somewhere he is another player planning on riding the Clemson train.

I read this summer that Sampah was in play with Clemson. But, then I started reading that we were making inroads and the kid does have a relationship with Dashawn Hand and Hand had been speaking us up.

Clemson has gotten a better NC bump than most teams when it comes to recruiting. They're everywhere right now.

It'll wear down like any other teams, recruits like flirting, but get serious when those OV roll around.

LINK ]Alabama football holds 2019 leadership retreat over the weekend - BamaOnLine By Charlie Potter
quote:

Nick Saban and his coaching staff placed an emphasis on leadership this spring.

And while Alabama’s former players waited to hear their names called during the 2019 NFL Draft this past weekend, some of the Crimson Tide’s returning veterans took part in its annual leadership retreat.

Quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones, wide receivers Henry Ruggs III and DeVonta Smith, tight end Miller Forristall, running back Brian Robinson, offensive linemen Alex Leatherwood, Matt Womack and Chris Owens, defensive lineman Raekwon Davis, linebackers Anfernee Jennings, Terrell Lewis and Dylan Moses, defensive backs Xavier McKinney, Shyheim Carter and Patrick Surtain II and long snapper Thomas Fletcher attended the 2019 retreat.

L$U countered with Sampah after not even being in his top 8.

According to Clemson mods, didn't have a green light from Clemson or Bama coaches. Supposedly Venables thinks he's a bit stiff. We also supposedly have one or two rated higher at ILB, but I have no idea who or what the pecking order is. Take that FWIW.

Coach Wade... err Coach O is making it rain this cycle.

Yes he is. Here are his highlights. OU liked him a TE (surprise surprise), but also told him he could play defense if he wanted. OU's staff was really worried for a couple weeks that he would flip. Bama really sold him on playing LB (all this info according to Rodney Orr).

Hudl

Also ran a 10.9 100 meters recently at 6'5" 222. Here's video of him winning the TX 5A Semifinal last yr.

They are on a scorching hot run right now. Three 5- stars in a row. They still have to stick though. We shall see.

I thought Sampah was downgraded a bit. I guess it was just by one site (247) and not quite enough to drop him to a 4* on the Composite.

Yeah but can he also be a real gym rat who carries his lunch pail with him to work every day, is deceptively athletic, and is basically another coach on the field?
