Parker has never played any meaningful snaps, I’m pretty sure Frazier would contribute

This wasn't meant as any disrespect to Frazier. I was really excited about Parker. Kid could really nice and was athletic. I think Parker is more athletic but Frazier has everything else you want in a TE.

I mean that's your opinion. Not everyone is going to contribute their first year at Bama.

Yea it's certain people around here who think their opinion is better than everyone. Kid look like a good prospect but nothing we haven't seen.

I was meaning in his career, let me clarify that. I don’t think he plays much if at all his first year if he was to come to Bama.

Well I was talking as recruits. Both big an athletic who dominate smaller guys. Parker will be a red shirt sophomore next year. I think he plays next year some with the limited number we have at the position.

If Parker can't get on the filed in 2020 he must really be sad. Hell beating out 88 and 87 shouldn't have been a mountain to climb.

Parker has not looked very good during his time with Bama. Probably be asked to move on before long. He likely never would have signed with Bama had the 18 class not fallen apart.

It is really amazing to me how quickly people want to give up on a kid. He was a redshirt freshman in 2019.

Exactly lmao...He just got here. Kids profile says 6'6 220. He just needs to add some weight. We knew he was a project when we took him.

Talked to someone on the team and they said they have no idea how Michael Parker got a scholarship. They said he shouldn’t have even been able to walk on. They said he will never play a down. Want the best for the kid but does not look like he will ever play

I know everyone was claiming Tulia would be the starter after Tua before he got on campus. Now we have written him off for another HS kid in Young. Got to love recruiting

In Tia’s case, it appears he has almost definitely been recruited over.

Barring injury, Young will start as soon as Tua is gone...Young is Tua’s equal. He’s amazing.

This isn’t a slight on Tia, Mack, or Tyson. Young is a generational talent. I can’t believe Bama gets to follow up Tua with Bryce.

Recruiting is all about stacking talent. Lia and Young could be a great competition. Guys are about the same size, both can run, and both have good arms. And Lia has a year head start on learning the offense. Not many people thought Hurts would beat out 5-star Blake Barnett. Just gotta let these things play out. If Tua comes back, we can delay these silly debates for a year. And Mac Jones is the wildcard that everyone loves to overlook.

LINK ]Live Updates: Under Armour All-America practice 1 (247Sports | segments)

quote:

From the UA folks on players no longer playing in the game, these guys are out:
Jase McClellan
Major Burns
Johnny Wilson
Jermaine Burton (flu)
Demarkcus Bowman

I don’t believe they're recording tonight’s session, but Monday’s will be shown at 4 pm ET on ESPNU. Tuesday’s practice will also be in that same time slot.

Note: To view update posts by 247 staff click Comments at the end of the article and select Experts posts, which also include video clips.

Although Kennedy, Sanders and McClellan can't participate to potentially boost their rankings, hopefully their strong senior seasons will. I was looking forward to seeing them in action too.

LINK ]Top performers from Day 1 of the 2020 Under Armour AA practice (247Sports | segments)
quote:

Sunday evening marked the first day of practices for the Under Armour All-America Game. Close to one hundred of the nation's top football prospects were at Disney's Wide World of Sports for the event's initial practice session.

The roster is divided into two teams – Team Savage and Team Pressure. Both squads had a simultaneous non-padded practice on adjacent fields. While contact was limited, we were able to get an extensive first look at the prospects on hand in drills, 1-on-1, 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 situations.

Here are our top performers for the day...

Alabama signee LINK ]Thaiu Jones-Bell would’ve been our next pick for top receiver after Mims. The South Florida product got behind the defense and turned in a strong 1-on-1 session...

The Team Savage defensive front looks quite strong... LINK ]Chris Braswell is a lean edge rusher and showed a nice first step in drills. In 11-on-11, Braswell was able to create some disruption off the edge and had at least one would-be sack...

Generational sure gets thrown out a lot. Give me your take on what "generational talent" means.
