Color me surprised. Wouldn’t expect anything different from them.

Finishing in the Top 5 each year should be good enough. Got coach them up more. No way this defensive staff returns intact in 2020.

Can't believe Bama screwed up with JJ and let him go to Auburn and got royally screwed by Washington.

Reminds me of how Bama screwed up the Seth Williams recruitment while trying to get Ross.

I see why Saban didn't want the early signing period, it is costing Bama players they likely would have signed if the ESD wasn't a thing.

Get Frazier and the DL from MS and call it a day. I’ll take our class over theirs all dang day. Heck, maybe even swipe that 5 star OL that didn’t sign with them.

can tell you if we don't get Washington..look for Brandon Frasier.. he has a younger brother named Dylan that is going to be damn good to at LB. Watching Film Brandon is a way better at catching the ball..he high points it and has a basketball back ground. Washington is more all around and a force blocking too.

I saw that video and wondered..why is this kid thought of as an after thought? How easily is blocking to pick up because i would think that it is easier than developing what seems to be a natural comfort with the ball being in the air (and traffic all around)

I hate to admit it, but Kirby got the better of us with the WR and TE targets that we were head-to-head with. Gotta hope that Smitty and Ruggs come back or we're likely going to need a grad transfer or two from the portal. I also wonder if striking out on DW and JP will cause Saban to just play it safe and take a commitment from a guy at a position of need who wants to come here, as opposed to the risk of striking out on his top 2 targets.

Because he Negative recruits like Crazy and doesn’t give a shite. Saban has too much respect to do that and I wish he didn’t.

Kirby also probably has a bigger pool of money to give recruits than Saban does

Well, in theory, this should EASILY eliminate bluechip WR's that we are head-to-head with UGA for in the 2021 class. All Saban has to say is "If you to go UGA your arse will be on the bench as 6th or 7th on the depth chart, whereas we're thin at the position and you can start from day 1." I'd love to see how Kirby would counter that.

I don't think Saban will mention UGA ...LSU etc other than " good school...fine program...but this is how we see you at Alabama" in response to a question about those schools by a recruit. He sells Alabama

Just tip your cap to Georgia and move on. Recruiting is a down and dirty business all around. It is what it is. They're very good at recruiting and have been for what, 4 years now? It's not new.

We've got a great class with high ceiling guys at important positions. We should all be very happy. No need to continually harp on another program.

I agree with this Kirby is a great recruiter to so he is going to snag some players. Not one Alabama fan should sit around and pout about someone cheating we do the same shite and the only difference between Saban and a lot of other coaches is that he doesn’t down grade other programs. Other than that it’s a free for all in recruiting

Also, lets put things in perspective.

If Georgia could trade Washington/Ringo/Evans/Smith for Bryce Young, do you think they would do it? Because I'm roughly 100000% sure they would do it.

I think it had to do more with who was at the top of the board. We pushed for Gilbert over Washington and LSU beat us head to head for that one. A great pickup by them but gave UGA the lead for Washington. Same with A Smith. We seem to have others over him.

These recruits are not stupid and with social media and boards like this they know what is going on. I think it also did not help having so many committed so early. So when ESD rolls around and everyone knows we only have a few spots left and probably taking maybe one more WR it is not rocket science.

And to be honest who cares. Kirby is just Richt 2.0. The program for the last 20 years had super stars go there and they have yet to win anything.

And to the pup lurkers go ahead and create a thread on whatever board you want because the truth is Kirby still has not won anything Richt did not.

Pretty sure Kamara openly admits radically changed himself at Junior College. The Kamara we had on campus was not the same kid who succeeded at Tennessee and is now succeeding in New Orleans.

He had until Midnight last night to sign. The ESD period lasts 3 days.

He could have talked to Saban on Wednesday because he didn't sign until Friday.

I think Washington might've signed as early as Wednesday evening, since he tweeted the paper and pen emojis at 4:19 p.m. But it doesn't really matter now. He gone.

I agree, but IIRC he was an @$$ in the locker room.
