I think this kid ends up in Oregon. Mario is raiding the state of CA. If the ducks have a good season he will be a duck IMO.

Justin Flowe also cancelled his OV to Bama.

It's better to learn we're not in it now instead of months later, so we can move on and press for Jordan Banks and Phillip Webb.

I wonder if Mario would be considered as Saban's eventual replacement if he builds Oregon back into a national power. Im wondering more along the lines of his philosophy on offense and defense and whether he left on good terms, etc.

My personal preference is for Bama's head coach to always be a defensive guy, but that's just me. Personally, I hope Muschamp has enough success at SoCar for him to be considered for Saban's replacement. I really like Muschamp, and he has always done everything right as a head coach except...offense. If he fixes that and has a good offensive half-decade, he's my pick.

247Sports unveiled its latest update to the Top247 Rankings last week with several Alabama commitments making positive moves in the standings.

The Crimson Tide's 2020 recruiting class currently ranks No. 2 in the nation, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, behind Clemson. Nick Saban and company's class averages a grade of 93.26 per each commit in UA's 22-man group.

Here, BamaOnLine takes a look at where each of Alabama's commits now rank on the 247Sports Composite Rankings, which is an industry-generated average.

Mario is on the short list of replacements and depending on what he does at Oregon he could be the heir.

If Sark stays at Bama, he could be ready when the time comes.

After Saban retires,
1st call goes to Dabo
2nd call goes to Kirby
3rd call goes to Pruitt

Kirby won't leave UGA. It's his alma mater and it's easier to recruit there. The SEC East has weaker competion too.

Lawd, give me Matt Campbell, that man has Iowa State on the verge of a ten win season. and he's sending players to the NFL.

I wouldnt see Mario leaving Oregon.. if he can build them up, they can be a giant with Nike behind them. This new era of football sets them up for being a power house if someone can get that train rolling again. They can have the nicest facilities and I feel this round the school board will get behind them on expanding and building . Too much money in it now

Matt Campell is winning in a very weak conference. And he'll probably get hired away from there before Saban retires. Sark has been a HC at UW and USC, is a strong national recruiter, knows Bama and the SEC and can learn a ton from Saban (like Kirby did) before he retires. Smooth transition -- keep The Process in place and keep rolling.

No, I'm not. Do your research. Muschamp has excelled at literally every imaginable metric a coach can excel at except offense.

He recruits well, his players stay out of trouble, his players graduate, he has a great relationship with administration and students, he's beloved by his players, and his defenses are always awesome, etc. And so if he puts together a half-decade of getting offense right, yeah - why not?

Kirby sure ain't leaving GA, Dabo maybe, and Jimbo will likely be older than we'll want. I like Muschamp, assuming he solves his offensive issues.

Honestly, I hope Pruitt either kills it and comes back to take over after Saban or doesn’t do well as HC, gets fired, then comes back as a long time DC and we hire a good offensive minded coach.

I'd like to have Bill Clark, but I'm pretty sure that he'll be the next coach at Auburn.
