To clarify, I know that amateurism being ruined isn't a new development, but it's certainly worse now that it ever has been and definitely more widespread.

There is no doubt that Bruce has done sleazy, "bad guy" moves in his career. Those sleazy moves just aren't "pay for play" / "buying recruits"
It honestly is significantly worse than paying recruits. I'm not shy in my condemnation of Pearl's past. Specifically the BBQ incident
I can't defend his actions and only hope he has learned from them.

The NCAA/TN didn't care about him throwing a dope BBQ.
They cared about him lying, trying to convince his staff to lie and pressuring a recruit/family to lie. Then after getting caught/punished, he brazenly violated the "bump rule" with an attitude that suggested he didn't care.
If Bruce does something like that again, he should be fired and out of coaching for life.

Guys,Im suffering right now. Usually I save all FBall and Basketball victories games on the DVR and watch them in the offseason....but After the Clemson lost I got pissed and deleted all the FBall games and after the meltdown and missing the tournament I deleted all Basketball games.
So now im sitting here like a smoker without cigarettes going through withdrawals....wanting to watch the Tide so bad.

The Atlantis tournament next year really is loaded. Just using Parrish's preseason Top 25

Damn. That's a Will Wade caliber "Strong Arse" field.
Will be a great tournament to start the Oats era. I think all of those teams are beatable early by Bama as UNC, Zaga will be reloading while stylistically I like a matchup w Mich

They usually have a random mid-major or 2, usually from CUSA weirdly

Currently Pre Grad Transfer mkt + spring NSD shaking out
UNC- They lose 5 out of 7 man rotation w/o the recruiting class/roster to backfill. Leaky Black I expect to break out but not sure who else they have.
Mich- If Swaggy P and Ignas tCanadian go pro, Michigan will be very good but beatable because Oats style should make Teske unplayable.
Zaga- If Killian Tillie back is still a problem, they simply lose too much. I love Norvell but they need and are looking for Grad Transfers for a reason
Wouldn't be shocked if winner comes from Oregon/SH/Bama

Bama deserves credit, not AU
AU scheduled it pre Ja breakout and only because we had no better home/home series opportunities
. Scheduling a H/H with Murray St, a consistently competitive midmajor w great home environment, is a ballsy move in general though.
Not like it is a big recruiting/TV trip either
