I can't believe how easily they got through regional.

They were playing the equivalent of Robertsdale high school. Smh...... Poker will pick up next week. Has everyone forgot how bad this team really is?

At least they didn't lose like Auburn. I know they weren't playing great competition but they won all of the games easily, which is an improvement for this season

Nice to see the bats come alive the last few weeks.

It's amazing how a competent offense makes the pitching even better. Lexy had a no-hitter going deep into that last game.

Loved watching the girls play well the last part of the season. Seems the more we won the less our negative nancy appeared in the thread. Which is cool also

she lost no hitter after 1 out in the 7th. also only walked a few batters. She did go deep to many batters which has been her MO all year

Not being a negative Nancy but I don’t think all of our problems have suddenly and miraculously solved themselves. I will be absolutely stunned if we make it out of the Super. Now that we will be facing good pitching, the bats will go silent and I’m not sure Alexis has anything left in the tank.

Bama is about to sweep Washington.

They haven't lost to a non conference opponent in the Supers since 2010.

Honestly, that would be incredible, even for some of our better teams, to take a series from a top ranked Pac12 team IN Seattle. Here's to hoping for the best, but emotionally preparing for the worst.

I dont think our problems are miraculously solved but since the end of the georgia series we have made a good run in a positive way. It seems there is as not as much much activity from some posters about the actual play of the team during this time from sweeping Texas A&m, knocking aubarn out of sec tourny, sweeping our regional. The super regional will be tough but our line up has been settled for for a few weeks and are alot more confident.Washington will be tough at home,i will agree. Oh ,and I wasnt calling you nancy

I have been very critical of Murphy and this team. I still am! however, that being said; I believe they knock off the Huskies and move to WCWS. Washington doesn’t look that super.

This. I believe in teams getting hot and peaking, but these particular girls have demonstrated over multiple seasons that their ceiling isn't with the elite.

This is where coaching becomes key and where the money is made. This is where I want Murphy to shine, to move the cogs necessary to take this crew as far as they can possibly go. I think we can make the WCWS with our momentum right now, maybe even take a game there, but what's become more important is just getting this program back on track.

Even when we eventually bow out, we need to go out swinging, building for next year and a return to our rightful place in the SEC and nationally.

So basically the opposite of how Gymnastics ended this season. Finishing the last meet completely flat and uninspired, missing out of the final night.

and btw, they finished 8th. If Alabama Softball finishes 8th (ie, WCWS appearance but no wins), I'd be fine.

The end result of this "Top 10 finish?" well, heads have already started rolling over there.

I totaly agree with you. We are playing better than we were earlier. Our line up Brown , Turner, hitting and base running is aggressive, Tow at 3 spot has been a great player for a freshman all year, then Hemphill smashing the ball lately, As our season started thru mid season I was dissapointed alot but we had some close losses to teams we usually beat, split some series to teams in conferance and out that are still in it or just got put out. To sum it up just glad we are still playing.

Just did a little checking. Of the 16 teams playing in Super Regionals, nine of them (56%) are from the SEC.

Five are from the PAC-12 (31%), while the ACC and Big 12 have one team each.

I agree that our softball program has declined somewhat in the last couple of years. It should be noted, though, that we play in what is obviously the best and toughest conference in the country.
