1 Candidate Has “A Lot Of Support” For Saints Job
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
On Saturday’s edition of SportsCenter, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler revealed that Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen is the favorite to land the job...
quote:

“Dennis Allen is well-positioned here. I know that he has a lot of support in the building because the Saints feel like they’ve had a good thing going and Allen has head-coaching experience,” Fowler said. “He’s been there since 2015. Strong coaching staff, strong defense, good players. For continuity’s sake, that could be the case.”

“I know Eric Bieniemy and Aaron Glenn, the Lions defensive coordinator who was with the Saints staff before, are both well-positioned here. Glenn did interview well from what I heard.”

Why should race be a factor in anything? Hire the best coach, period. NEVER hire anyone based on race, period.

Out of those 3, that's probably Bieniemy. Allen is a re-tread, though, and the NFL loves what it knows even if it's mediocre. Have to guess he's the front runner.

We need a POC to lead the Saints! 70% of the players are POC….that should be reflected in coaching and ownership as well. Personally I think the league should be 100% POC from the owners to coaches to players and viewers.

Surly you are trolling. 70% of the players are because the best players are picked and paid. Not because they are black. Coaching and everything else should be the same

Love how the dumbasses come out in full force in the south. Happens every time if a coach is black "must be the Rooney Rule, must be SJW"! Before Payton you had a bunch of white coaches who never did shite with the Saints and God forbid if a black guy gets a shot. There were MFers that were against Mike Tomlin being the coach at LSU, Mike freaking Tomlin! Yalls priorities are so out of wack it's disgusting.

Chocolate city needs a chocolate coach or team will revolt. Resume and success at previous jobs not important. Only skin color.

So you are a homophobe Clyde? Using being gay as an insult? Your seem to pick and choose what you approve of being bigoted about.

Allen will get you consistent 11-6/13-4 seasons if we can navigate the cap and keep talent level consistent

Eric Bieniemy.. I feel would be a Great fit.. He is use to running a high powered offense, and he knows wat it takes to rebuild our offense while the defense is still strong.

Saints should hire a SJW — it would fit well with the players CSP filled Benson’s locker room with.

I don’t watch the NFL or the Saints anymore. I’m just doing a honest troll of the players & team I once rooted for.

I don’t watch the NFL either but you’re not funny. Do you troll burrow who has the same views? Or every other team in the NFL who is filled with SJW’s

They’ve interviewed 3 guys with NFL head coach experience, and another two known up-and-comers. Are you upset they didn’t bring in Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells?

Yeah, none of these names are good. My whole reasoning wanting Allen to stay when Payton was here was that he wasn’t a good hc. Now he might be our hc.
