ESPN's Paul Finebaum gave it to Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day for his "idiotic" statement following Ohio State's loss to Michigan over the weekend...

"Yeah I don't know all the details of it," Day claimed. "But I know that these guys are looking to put a flag on our field and our guys weren't going to let that happen."

"I'll find out exactly what happened but this is our field and certainly we're embarrassed at the fact we lost the game but there's some prideful guys on our team that weren't just going to let that happen."
"Ryan Day comes up with just this idiotic statement," the SEC Network personality said. "'We're not going to let them do that to our field,' try and beat them first and then you won't have to worry about that. … It happened all day long and all night, because these guys watch other games, but that's the one that gets me. If you're Ryan Day, keep your mouth shut."

No Paul, it's not about winning and losing. It's about class. Just because you win you don't have to act like an idiot and go all Baker Mayfield. Shake the other teams hands, walk by and thank your fans that made the trip, Go in your locker and celebrate like hell. Let's do it that way.

The planting of the flag on the home teams 50 yard line is absolute disrespect. I don't care who does it, it is wrong. Period. End of story. That is equivalent to spitting in someones face - or kicking someone in the family jewels - no questions asked, it is GO TIME!!! It is classless and if the home team gets pissed and kicks your arse, too bad. You will think twice next time.

That said, Ryan Day is a weasel and a total loser and is in way over his head in that job. I would never defend OSU or UM. I dislike both passionately.

I dont like the disrespect but it doesnt warrant violence. We shouldnt tolerate insults to be answered w violence that mentality is becoming pervasive. Call out the classlessness dont attack the culprit that is always worse.
