This is an interesting strategy- brining in an NFL coach to handle the new “NFL lite” college scene. It could work. I mean, he doesn’t have to worry about a salary cap.

I live on the coast in NC and not surprisingly they have his presser on TV. I have been watching it while working, and he has been more talkative and affable with reporters than I have ever seen. It will be interesting for sure, but I think he may struggle with the same things that ultimately drove Saban away (portal, NIL, parents, handlers, immature players, etc.).

I'm sure he will be happy 'cruiting and losing top high school recruits who don't tell him their going with a different team on signing day , losing large numbers of players every year in the portal, money grubbers that don't perform, many players won't put in the work necessary for improvement for 2 years and then decide to move on when a younger talented player jumps them, etc. He must be really jonesing to coach again.
