A lot has changed and a lot hasn't. Here's what the first ever College GameDay looked like back in 1993...

On November 13, 1993, College GameDay traveled to South Bend, Indiana for the matchup between the Florida State Seminoles and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The crew was met with pumped-up fans and provided an in-depth preview into the biggest games of the day. Now, thousands of people show up to College GameDay every Saturday to get excited for another week of college football.

That was the first Gameday not in the studio. Gameday had been around since 86 I think.

I remember watching this game as a kid. The buildup for this game was huge. It snowed before the game when it was supposed to be 60. Notre Dame won an exciting game and appeared to be a lock to play for the national title. But blew a last second game to Boston College. Which opened the door for Florida St., who would beat a good Florida team and win the national title game.
