You can credit Deion Sanders, I'm sure he'll take it, but Colorado's football program announced the team's GPA this week and for the first time in history, the team's GPA was higher than 3.0...

that's impressive, but let's also be real. I'd guess most of the players were in a nonsense major and some home-cooking from the professors. Nevertheless, it's impressive.

Education is a joke now - 3.0 is a 2.0 - tutors, aides, online/virtual, woke professors, 2 + 2 =5, etc. I don’t believe any of it.

Some of y'all are straight haters. I've had friends that played at LSU back in the day, and now kids I've coached - believe me, they weren't all Engineering majors and had PLENTY of assistance from the athletic department, tutors, and friendly professors. Just tip the cap.

Side note - Vrooman's Econ class was a blast!

Nobody said LSU didn’t do it also - tired of the lies when the dudes took basket weaving and most couldn’t pass at Jesuit High School.

It's impressive because it's the first time in CU history that it happened. That goes back to the days of the Big 8 when they sucked and when they won a natty. None of those teams with McCarthy or Neuheisal pulling the strings could do it. Just because Deion is a clown to the camera doesn't mean he doesn't get buy in from his athletes.

Credit the "tutors"

Also, I’m pretty sure Deion graduated from some HBCU in 2020 not FSU.

All schools have sports degree programs to maintain eligibility.

If you think Coach prime didn’t do some expectation setting with the professors prior to the season, you’re kidding yourself

I have not ever, ever understood society's fascination with the football coach at University of Colorado. Is it some kind of sick joke? What am I missing?
