Total hip two years ago at 51.
Used a walker for one day, a cane the next day or two, and then ditched both.
If it did hurt, it was nothing compared to the daily pain I had the few years leading up to the replacement. Getting my other one done this summer.

As a public school teacher, I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've witnessed similar incidents - which are usually followed up with a one day trip to in school suspension and a "reteaching of expectations".
It's a fkn joke, and it's ALL done to muddy up the disciplinary data that proves one group alone refuses to follow policies and procedures at a exponentially higher rate than any other.

How to fix school systems across the country

1. Revamp and slash EBT, section 8, ssi, and all entitlements. Send a message to our youth that there IS NO FREE RIDE, and they’re GOING TO WORK!
2. Ramp up all punishments for lawbreakers, including juveniles. For habitual ones, lock em up and throw away the key. 3 strikes equals life. Make actions have consequences again, and show that crime is not a viable career choice.
3. Create “permanent alternative schools” in each district. When students have continually made the conscious decision to not abide by the policies or make a genuine effort (let’s say 15 referrals or failing 4 or more classes for two grading periods), then ship them out! They’ll remain at their new site until they graduate, quit, become incarcerated, or die. Prioritize the educational experience of the 90% who are doing the right thing.
4. Understand this will take a generation or two to take root, just stay the course.

Try teaching a class with 25 students like her, in a system that refuses to hold anyone academically or behaviorally accountable (because the data would show that one grounp alone is far different than the others).

It's taught. Students get it in several different courses, but shocking as this may sound, many just don't give a shite (and others are so far behind academically they literally have a difficult time comprehending WTF the lesson is about).
These things are happening more frequently, because both the courts and the public school system refuse to hold "yutes' accountable, but continue to slap them on the wrist and give extra chances.
