What would happen if I did that at my workplace? I would be arrested and charged with destruction of property and workplace violence. Then I would be fired and blacklisted in my profession.

When he was with the White Sox, he took a knife to his throwback uniform because he didn't want to wear it. Didn't like the throwback look, and didn't want to wear it to pitch, so he cut it up and the Sox scratched him from the lineup. He's a nutjob.
