Big news here. A triple A pitcher with no control hits two Astro batters with the bases loaded. Each caused a run to score in a spring training game. The picture of Altuve came later in the ball game when he suffered a bruised leg scoring on a fly ball to right field.

The bruises are going to have bruises, as this seasons goes through, until the free base runners start adding up to runs.

They should just kneel at the plate.

I was watching this live when it happened and I didn’t even think Altuve got hit. Also, it was Bergman’s Jersey. This clearly wasn’t intentional.

Hitting a guy at the start of a game with nobody on base is one thing. Doing it with the bases loaded in consecutive at bats is another. Had to have not been intentional, unless that pitcher was dumber than stupid. Sure they will get pegged their fair share of the time. But it’ll stop after it starts costing those teams runs.

They better get used to it, especially Bregman

Eh, those weren’t really intentional. Just ran the fastball a bit too inside. Of course, a good pitcher can make it look accidental when they mean to, if they want. Stros payback is coming though.
