LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. is putting his NIL money to great use.

According to Jacques Doucet of WAFB, Hilton Jr. is donating a portion of his money to the Zachary High School boys' basketball team to help cover the cost of their state championship rings.

Hilton Jr., a native of Zachary, La., was a two-sport standout at Zachary High School, excelling in both football and track and field.

It's great to see a player that has his head and heart in the right place. May God bless you CH, and here's wishing for you to have a monster season.

The kids or school pay for their own State Championship awards? That’s so odd to me.

How is it odd to help kids that can't afford the cost?

He’s not saying it’s odd to help kids pay for them. He’s saying it’s odd that the kids or the school HAVE to pay for them.

If high school class rings can fetch up to $500: a state championship ring could be double that. With our economy falling apart that's a lot for many parents to take on.

Very nice of you Chris.

My father in law worked with Chris' father and said that his dad was a great man who did a fantastic job of raising his son, and Chris does his family, LSU and the entire state of Louisiana proud.
I am always so happy to see family's who work so hard for success achieve it.

Not sure who 1st is, but these may be the LSU athletic couple. They both actually compete and at a high level.

Noble gesture on his part, for sure. However, some business ought in the Zachary service area should be picking up the tab for these rings, if the school can’t afford them.

“some business” gave their money for Hilton’s NIL and now he’s passing it on
