ESPN College Football analyst Kirk Herbstreit took to Twitter Monday to congratulate Troy for their win over LSU but said that Trojans wide receiver Alvin Bryant Jr. should be disciplined for taunting fans from the sideline.

During the 4th quarter, Bryant Jr. made some obscene gestures and was giving the middle finger to fans.

Troy wide receiver Alvin Bryant Jr issued the following statement on Monday afternoon, just a few hours after Herbstreit's tweet.

Before his apology was edited/rewritten to add more: "Like, I be sorry. Know what I'm sayin'?"

No reason to discipline him. That only rubs salt in the deep would they inflicted upon us. He was caught up in the moment and was on the winning side against an opponent who had been formidable for years. It's college ball. It's staring the giant down and beating him. Sure, I'm disappointed that my giant lost, but I think the young man ought to be left alone to relish in a victory like a David over a (former) Goliath.

I see your point. Can you please tell us in detail what you see in the video that you believe deserved that reaction. Specifically, I would like to know the evidence you see that was so haneous that gave the young man justification to grab his junk, and dance while waving the middle finger. I look forward to your response.

He's a product of poor genes and worse upbringing. It's not his fault.

So instead of blocking and tackling, our players should grab themselves? Because what you call "swagger" equates to wins?
