LSU running back Caden Durham is expected to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports on Saturday.

Durham, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, Okla., missed just two games over the last two seasons in Baton Rouge. He had a breakout freshman year last season, rushing for 753 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards per carry, while dealing with a foot injury.

Durham rushed for 505 yards and three touchdowns this past season and shared carries with freshman Harlem Berry, who already plans to be back next season.

Ole Miss "accusations" of tampering are simply a weak effort on their part to try and keep LSU from taking whoever we want off their team.

Entering the portal does not necessarily mean LSU "lost a player to the portal" as the headline falsely states.

Had a good freshman season but was pretty mediocre this year. I don’t consider this much of a loss.

Why was it that Coach Frank's RBs kept on regressing after one year of his coaching and getting replaced by true freshmen? Kaleb Jackson has a breakout year as a freshman >> beat out by Caden Durham. Caden Durham has a breakout year as a freshman >> beat out by Harlem Berry.

And Ole Piss is accusing LSU of tampering. They may want to take a look in the mirror.

A couple of things need to happen for Durham to really become a good RB.
1) he needs to quit having foot and ankle injuries
2) he needs to be able to scan the LOS better and pick the less busy areas of the LOS to run to...either holes he misses or areas where there is only one defender. He runs into piles way too much.

And I would add he is slow to get to the line of scrimmage and does not seem to hit it with power.

He also needs to have fat, low quality OL stop falling on his ankles.

I hope this means Lacy is coming here. Otherwise, HB will be holding down the fort all alone.

Don't worry. Lane has plenty of options at running back out there. We'll be fine.
