BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU baseball team dropped the final game of a three-game set with No. 10 Texas A&M, 5-2, Sunday afternoon in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
LSU dropped to 23-18 on the season and 6-12 in SEC play, while the Aggies improved to 31-7 overall and 12-5 in the league.
Texas A&M reliever Gavin Lyons (7-0) was credited with the win after tossing 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball. He allowed no hits and picked up two strikeouts with two walks.
LSU starter Zac Cowan (1-2) was charged with the loss after throwing 2.2 innings and allowing four runs on three hits with one punchout and three base-on-balls.
LSU returns to action on Tuesday night to face the UNO Privateers at The Box. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network + and is available to listen to on the LSU Sports Radio Network.
