LSU defensive end Gabriel Reliford suffered a season-ending ACL injury in practice this week, according to multiple reports on Saturday afternoon.

Reliford did not practice with the team on Saturday.

The redshirt sophomore from Shreveport, La., played in just four games last year after suffering a torn rotator cuff in LSU’s win over Southeastern Louisiana.

Reliford played in 13 games during his freshman season in 2024 and was expected to be a big part of LSU's defensive end rotation this upcoming season.

Well that sucks.

But it happens every year. There’s always an impact player who gets lost for the year in preseason practices.
