Nothing. They're irrelevant. The AP positions teams as best they can to hype up matchups for ratings. That's it.
Nobody is playing for an AP title. It's a pointless poll run by people who largely don't know what they're talking about.

Lol...I guarantee that the players and staff do not consider fans to be part of "we".
The realist in me would say "well...it's his first year, the schedule is brutal, it's an entirely new roster...what else would anyone reasonably expect?"
The other side of me would question why LSU and its boosters spent $40-50 million on a roster and another $20 or so million on the coaching staff for this season to get another Texas Bowl appearance.

I'll never understand people who think that losing is a good thing.
Losing is never good. Ever.
Now...when a loss inevitably happens, what matters is how you handle it. As is often said, do you take the lemons and make lemonade, or do you let losing become acceptable...habitual even? Do you learn any lessons from the loss or do you remain the same, accepting that losses just happen? That's the real question.
But make no mistake...there's nothing good about losing. You can only make the best of a bad situation and move on from that.
