Former LSU linebacker Greg Penn Jr. is reportedly joining Lane Kiffin's staff as a defensive analyst, according to Matt Moscona.

The Baltimore, Md. native played at LSU from 2021 to 2024, appearing in 50 games with 40 starts. He totaled 264 tackles, 17.5 TFLs, 5.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 INTs, and one fumble recovery.

Penn Jr. wore No. 18 in his final year with the Tigers, while playing under defensive coordinator Blake Baker.

So you updated from "Gren Penn" to "Greg Penn Jr." when Penn has long gone by "Greg Penn III" and the tweet even refers to him as such. C'mon Larry... err... "Staff Reporter".

Hadn't heard that name in a while, but it is not surprising that Penn is working in this capacity. He was a very smart and disciplined player. I'm sure as an analyst he will know exactly what he is looking at.
