East Carolina offensive coordinator John David Baker is expected to be named the new offensive coordinator at Ole Miss, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Baker previously worked under Lane Kiffin as Ole Miss' passing game coordinator and tight end coach in 2021 and was the co-offensive coordinator from 2022-2023.

It's still in the weird divorce phase where they act nice for the kids. But as soon as they're graduated and season is over, I'd like for him to start burying ole miss

It really is. I can't wait for the Ole Miss season to end so we can stop all this silly co-mingling.

Lane will always have a reverence to Ole Miss much like Saban still does for LSU.....and I think most LSU fans should be okay with that regardless of what happens on the field.

Kiffin is acting nice. Ole Miss? Not so much.

Okay, I get CLK trying to appear positive after the breakup, but can we get back to hating Ole Piss and their overly arrogant fan base? I hope after this playoff series we can have CLK can drop all of that “friendliness” towards them. FCK OLE MISS!

Now they can stop acting like Charlie Weis Jr was going to stay.

Keep in mind that Baker is part of Lane’s coaching tree. His comment is as much him supporting Baker as anything else.

If Saban posted the same comment about an old assistant coach getting a new job, no one would think anything of it.
