This shite is deeply seeded in our services after 8 years of Obama, 4 years of Biden and the 4 Trump years that didn't change much.

It needs to be rooted out and these folks need to made an example of otherwise it just empowers others to speak up and defy the POTUS.

I hope the individual services have changed their service chief guidance to boards and panels by now so these officers arent promoted or selected for leadership positions.

I didn't feel this way a week ago but the way they've all come out with these displays of "solidarity" with Ukraine is concerning.

I'd recommend we maybe keep a naval base somewhere. Italy seems like they want to stay out of it. They don't really love us but don't hate us either. May be a good place.

The Rescue 21 system they use to locate and communicate with mariners in distress uses a series of radio towers and complex software. These towers and repeaters are all digital. I suspect the local Stations and Sector offices do have individual VHF capability which will be line of sight to that individual unit/tower but it won't be meshed together so SAR mission controllers will have a much tougher time coordinating the response.
