While announcing the North Carolina-TCU game on Monday night, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit revealed his National Championship predictions, which will be LSU vs. Penn State.

Herbstreit got an up-close look at the Tigers in their season-opening win vs. Clemson and believes in LSU's defense under DC Blake Baker.

“I think I’m going Penn State and LSU in the championship,” Herbstreit said. “LSU — again, you’ve got to stay healthy. But they got a salty defense this year.”

Some analyst know how to put the bulls eye on teams they see can win it all, so that everyone bring their A game to topple them.

So called 'experts', HaHa will fall in line if LSU keeps winning. Nothing 'expert' about that.

Coach went 7-0 in his picks and picked LSU to win #5 Narry. Geaux Tigers.

I love how he throws out that we have to stay healthy.
Doesn’t every team have to stay healthy to make a serious run?
Everyone has a few impact players, and always one being the QB that has to stay healthy. Duh

Herbstreit views Corso like a second father. He has helped him get through broadcasts for the last 2+ years. Don’t you think he might have thought this before Corso made his picks? He respects Corso so much, he would never acknowledge this. Corso is 90 and not real sharp. Someone helped him with his picks.

Wasn't LSU-Penn State Lee Corso's pick, too (with LSU to win it all)? And Corso made his prediction BEFORE LSU played and beat Clemson.

Ole "Coach Corso" made this prediction before the "Fightin Tigers" played a down! Then Coach got all of his Saturday Predications Correct! The other so-called experts didn't come close to picking the winners on Saturday!

Penn State has two real football games this year, Oregon and Ohio St. If they win one of two, they will make the playoff. From there, it is just a matter of seeding.

I think teams like Penn State who don't play a lot of strong teams during the year are at a disadvantage. Yes, they get into the playoffs easier but they also often get exposed in the playoffs.

I bet he wasn’t saying that at all before this past weekend. These guys change their picks constantly.

I'm not seeing the Penn State hype and what makes them elite. I obviously don't know details and cannot break down football on that level but they don't look like anything special from the fan side. Now, LSU, anybody that watches football could see how special that defense was Saturday night!

We'll see, but tOSU looks like the team to beat outside of the SEC teams.

I dont see where he hates LSU. When we were down the last couple years he was honest. 2019 after he called the Texas-LSU game he went on social media with Fowler and told the nation to watch out for LSU cause they were the real deal... He hasnt bashed LSU except for when they deserved to be bashed.. They questioned the O-line and defense on gameday this weekend which was all of our concerns

Remember 2007 when he predicted that left, Miles would go to Michigan right before the SEC championship game. That was pure sabotage!
