During his show this week, Fox Sports College Football analyst Joel Klatt previewed LSU's matchup at Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Vandy is a slight 2.5-point favorite in Saturday's matchup, but Klatt expects LSU to win outright. Per SDS:
quote:

“We don’t see this often,” Klatt said on The Joel Klatt Show. “In fact, maybe ever. I don’t think there’s any game that I can think of. We asked our research department, and they’re like, ‘We went back to the 1970s and can’t find a game in a ranked matchup that Vanderbilt was favored.'”

While the Commodores are the favorite in the game, Klatt sees the road underdog LSU getting the win.

“A loss to Vanderbilt on the road in a ranked matchup would not be a good look,” Klatt said. “Again, Vanderbilt is favored by 2.5. I like LSU. The matchup, to me, is good for LSU because of their athleticism on defense. LSU wins this one, 20-17.”
Kickoff from FirstBank Stadium is at 11 a.m. CT on ABC.

Maybe we can add a scoop and score as well as a pick six. That will be the only way.

If you clean up the slop/turnovers, they would have scored 35 points last weekend…

Klatt got both Indiana/Oregon and USC/Michigan wrong....he's as much of an "expert" as I am....

I think we score more than 24 on this one. I'm thinking 24 to 31 area. Nuss is due for a good day.

I think they bottle up the Vandy QB and hold them to 17. Hard to guess about the LSU offense . If Anderson is healthy again and Weeks plays we win big. Otherwise it's a close one....as usual scoring around 20

An LSU loss to Vanderbilt would undermine the very fabric of the Brian Kelly administration. In fact, there would be no return from it.

A loss to Vandy would probably eliminate LSU from the playoffs. Now if you think there is a coach out there in this day and age of college football that would dominate the SEC, then Inwill gladly take that wager. Lots of parity out there, like the NFL.

I agree. Kelly can’t lose this game if he wants to be successful at lsu.

You can lose to Vandy and have 2 loses if you win out. Wins against Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas A&M gets you in the playoff. No doubt about it

I hope he's right. I feel like CBK needs to fix a few things in the offense before we start winning.
