Former LSU Football player Devonta Lee has reportedly passed away.

The Fluker, La. native signed with the Tigers in 2019 as a four-star wide receiver from Amite High School and transferred to Louisiana Tech in 2022 after two years at LSU.

Just a few months after his move to Ruston, Devonta was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Lee battled the cancer with surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, and went into remission a year later.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Lee's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Cancer is cruel and is a reality. We must be at this awful disease. Blessings to his family. It's hard. Lost my own father to this evil sickness. God bless.

Damn I had no idea about this. I’m from Washington Parish although I live between Montana and Colorado and I remember Lee and Ishmael Sopsher were both on that Amite team. They were damn good but didn’t make the jump to college. RIP and condolences to his loved ones.
