Bama is #1 without debate. Is what it is.
OU is laughable.

Oklahoma is way too high. Alabama #1 not Ohio

So Mandel, who grew up in Ohio, has Ohio St #1 . Color me shocked

I’d give USC the nod over OU.

Don’t think I can ever take Stewart Mandel serious again. I can’t stand Bama but they are EASILY #1. And LSU has 3 nattys since 2000. No way is Oklahoma ahead of LSU.

Bama being anything other than #1 completely invalidates the list. Oklahoma is way outta place too. LSU and Clemson should both be ahead of Oklahoma due to the titles. LSU has 4 natty appearances in that timeframe and won 3, 2 of which came while beating Oklahoma either in the playoffs or the title game itself. Horrid list.

Bama from 2010 to 2020 might have been one of the most dominant stretches for a program in the history of the sport.

Your typical Off-Season Clickbait list of "Best of ____" *fill in blank*

5. Georgia

2-5 debatable but at least your list can be justified with actual results

LSU has an argument for 3, but I don’t think we’re above Ohio State. Both teams have 3 nattys since 2000, but Ohio State has 11 conference titles to LSU’s 4, 20 NY6 bowls to LSU’s 11, and made the CFP 6 times to LSU’s 1.

I’d probably swap Georgia and Clemson too. UGA was an elite program in the first decade of the 2000’s before Richt started losing steam. Clemson was barely a top 25 team until around 2012, but UGA has been every bit as good, if not better than Clemson since Kirby’s 2nd year.

1. Bama
2. Ohio State
3a. LSU
3b. Georgia
5. Clemson

Big Ten much weaker than the SEC over the past 25 years but you still have a good point

Clickbait. Bama is number one and it not even close. Not even worth looking past that.

He gets more clicks with the list he put out. No way he actually believes it.

He puts Ohio St. first to get more midwestern clicks and upset the Bama fans. He puts OU 3rd to upset everyone else with more championships.

Or maybe this is just what he thinks. Some of y’all think way too much about this.

Well then he should've thought more. If that's what he thinks he's not qualified to even conduct this poll

I’m not sure his criteria, but this should absolutely be metric based. I would average out the final polls plus an added weight to national champs. No way Bama isn’t #1. And Florida should be higher.

It should be #1 Bama, #2 OSU, T-#3 LSU, OU, USC, #6 Georgia

People forget OU won the NC in 2000, played in the NCG 4 times from 2000-2008 and multiple playoff appearances even if there were bad loses in some of those games.

Same with USC. Dominant from 2000-2010. Multiple NCs and idk 10-12 rose bowl wins.

That's fine and good except there's no way Oklahoma should be tied with LSU. They can be below us
user avatar
Alabama is #1. 2-5 could go in any particular order but Georgia doesn’t belong. It should be USC. Same number of national titles, more conference champions, and more heisman winners.
user avatar
Gonadballbarian10 months
Well then it wouldn't be any particular order. Because Oklahoma shouldn't be in there. Take out Oklahoma and put in USC then

OU made me spit out my drink. Clown world. Product of a horrendous conference. Bama is the clear number 1 and LSU 2 or 3 with 4 NC games and 3 titles.
