LSU announced the signing of USC quarterback Husan Longstreet on Wednesday.

The former five-star passer from Corona, Calif., was rated a top-five quarterback in the country for the class of 2025 and was recruited by Lane Kiffin when he was at Ole Miss.

Longstreet appeared in four games this past season as a backup and completed 13 of 15 passes for 103 yards and one touchdown. He added 76 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Longstreet visited Baton Rouge last weekend and joins LSU's quarterback room that consists of Sam Leavitt and Landen Clark.

He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Oh yes! A totally different level. No wonder the rest of the NCAA & media didn't want him here.

Kiffin is officially the undisputed portal king. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone else in America that could’ve pulled this off.

People thought I was tripping when I said, Kiffin was still trying to get Longstreet even after getting Leavitt in the fold. What I love about this kid Longstreet is, he said he don't mind being the #2 that's not the reason he transferred out of USC. Longstreet said he no longer trusted USC's HC and staff and he was looking for a place he can trust, so in Kiffin he trust from his Ole Piss days. Now I feel good if Leavitt's not ready by the spring, we got Husan Longstreet as the backup, the best QB room in the country.

Maybe not best in country... Oregon has Moore and Riola, but we definitely got a better room than most and its amazing. Let's finish steing with some big uglies and maybe a DE or 2 and let's take over the sport

With Coach K’s work ethic, staff assembly, knowledge of offense, amount of talent in Louisiana and learning from his mistakes over the years —— the nation knows, deep down, that LSU may or WILL supplant UA as the best in CFB

For all you doubters from last week I would like to hear an apology. Personal admission, I was not doubting but I sure was saying ‘come on Coach, it’s time for a QB’.
