You’re missing my overall point though.

Lmao like I said watch what Justin Vincent had to say. He was actually there. I’m just repeating what he said.

Hey Alum, can we get an update in Tiger as well, week 11 starts tonight and the standings are off from week 10.

You literally said right before the bowl game. It was a full week before.
He told the players he was staying then announced days later (a week before the game) that he was taking the job.
Both can be true, but the timing isn’t right before the bowl game. We all remember the circus and Huizenga putting on the full court press with the Dolphins jet in BR.

Nick Saban in 2005…Also told LSU players he wasn’t going to Miami either right before their bowl game.
The Bama stuff is correct through.
ETA: Also, it was December 2004, not 2005. Skip allowed Saban to coach the bowl game, which was played on Jan 1, 2005.

Hey Rog, you and I don't usually see eye to eye.
However, this is sort of a mess due to Landry, etc., but LSU is still a very attractive job. We're going to drop bags. And I know a lot of TD posters are complacent, but these dudes want to win championships.

This is absolute horse shite. If that were the case, we'd be beating people off with sticks when we are looking for a head coach. That has never been the case, and moving forward will not be the case. The best coach in our lifetime used LSU as a stepping stool to the NFL & Bama. Since then, we've hired Bums. Les Miles won a natty with Sabans players, Orgeron slipped and fell into a natty. LSU knew what they were getting with Ed O, yet they still hired the bum. Then they turn around and hire another Bum looking to accidentally slip into a natty then retire.
In the middle of all that, the LSU vacancy was used for other head coaches to get new contracts at their jobs at the time, hell it was even used to kick off a bidding wars that LSU would lose. If LSU is the "job that everyone wants" then none of that should happen.
LSU is a top 10 job, but it's not a top 5 job, and certainly not a job "Everyone wants". If that was the case Saban would have never left, even though he claims to regret leaving. Which I don't believe that for one second. I don't think he enjoyed being in Baton Rouge.
18M/yr/ NIL - 30MM/yr in NIL offered now. 10/100MM, 53MM buyout for the shorty. Dude, LSU might look like shite due to BK, but it's real.

LSU has 3 NCs in football with 3 different HCs in the last 25 years and played for another.
LSU is the pinnacle of CFB. Everyone wants this job regardless of the outside noise.
People are underestimating how important this job is to coaches. LSU Football is life changing career.

How important is it that the new HC be in place for Dec. high school signing day and transfer portal opening?
It's the long game. The coach ++ player or "losing a recruiting class" never ends up meaning as much as people scream about. Get your coach and go.

McMahon is a different guy on the sidelines this year . Both with the players and even the referees. I don’t believe he as gotten a technical in 3 years and in the first two games he seemed close to getting one . It’s nice to see him show some signs of energy this year and I’m optimistic this may be a team that can compete with the middle of the pack of the conference this year
But I don't know... 10-8? I'm just a fan, and realist as well.
I've watched 4+ decades of LSU MBB, we have a chance this season.

Hey Alt, Dom, MK, and all!
I was putting together a post that maybe I'll share later, but I think this team may have it. Y'all know I say "Nov/Dec basketball", etc. lol.
I'm always hopeful every year, but I see something different now. CoachMc in energized.
