I thought it was a really good and touching episode, my only concern is having a bottle episode when seasons are so short. We have no idea what’s going on with Jimmi Simpson and Alice Braga, what Jason is doing while Daniela left, what she’s up to etc. Luckily this season has 10 episodes instead of 6, like last season, so being episode 5 isn’t that bad.

There is just as much evidence that LSU was competitive in NIL funding as there is evidence that LSU planted a story with one of the mouthpieces to justify retaining CoachMc for another season against most of the fan base wishes (attendance numbers and lack of fan enthusiasm). It works both ways. You don’t want to entertain the idea that LSU AD had active interest in using the lack of NIL Funds to justify a 4th season for CoachMc, but blindly accept LSU’s claim as fact - neither which is verifiable - further demonstrates that you have zero intention of objective discourse.

Regardless, the NIL was supposedly addressed and he still managed to win only 3 SEC games again and another overall losing record - 3rd in 4 seasons, the lone exception being 17-16 - and got fired.

So either way, NIL didn’t helped him, if it was truly an issue previously.

It’s been explained ad nauseam, you’re either intentionally ignoring the possibility or not smart enough to understand the possibility.

I don’t claim to know exactly what transpired, I speak often of not dealing in absolutes. However the timing seemed convenient for such a leak and the idea that LSU is beyond reproach for intentionally running a narrative to justify their plan to the fan base is naive at best. If the decision was on CoachMc was already made, LSU AD definitely had vested interest in getting the narrative out in a non official capacity in the best opportunity possible without the ability for anyone to vet the veracity of the claim (lack of competitive NIL).
