The LSU coaching staff received some great news on Wednesday night when five-star tight end Arik Gilbert committed to LSU over Alabama, Clemson, Georiga, and Texas A&M.

Gilbert, a 6-5, 253-pound prospect from Marietta, GA (Marietta HS) is rated the No. 1 tight end in the country for the class of 2020 and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Georgia, according to 247 Sports and Rivals.

LSU now has 22 verbal commitments for the class of 2020 with the addition of Gilbert.
