Alabama ace pitcher Luke Holman is still on the open market but could be heading to LSU, according to Kendal Rogers of D1 Baseball.

Holman finished the 2023 season with a 3.67 ERA and a 7-4 record over 15 starts. He pitched 81 innings, giving up 54 hits, 33 earned runs, walked 31, and struck out 87 batters.

He entered the transfer portal in late June and reportedly visited LSU last week.

Johnson is building a stupid dominant program. Not out of the question for LSU to run off 2-3 more CWS titles in the next 5 years or so. Could conceivably catch USC for all time titles.

Remember USC won all those Natty’s before the Skip Bertman era. Rarely did good athletes out of high school go to college. At that time college baseball was less than A baseball. Skip changed that & made college baseball what it is today. NIL helps to

We should have some pretty good depth but we’ll need guys to progress and some guys to develop. We should also see guys like Jake Brown and Cam Johnson get some pretty good innings and possibly start in conference if they prove themselves. One thing is a certainty, we’ll have much more quality lefty talent. On the mound and at the plate. It’ll be a younger positional team but a good mix from the mound. I think Loer will pitch quite a bit. Then you have the guys from last year as well. Some we haven’t seen much of and if they develop, look out. Go Tigers

Is he good enough to get into our rotation?

Probably not. he's a decent talent but he's not LSU baseball talented.
user avatar
Probably not? If he wasn't, do you think LSU would even consider recruiting him to come here?

Think before you post.

Both should come. Play on the biggest stage for the best program that just had the top two picks in the draft.
