Georgia head coach Kirby Smart revealed Saturday that transfer tight end/wide receiver Arik Gilbert is currently not practicing with the team as he deals with "personal issues."

Gilbert, a former five-star prospect from Marietta, GA played his freshman season with LSU before opting out of the last few games. He transferred from LSU and committed to Florida but never played with the Gators.

He then joined Georgia this offseason.

Boy, what a drama queen this kid has turned out to be! Still wish he would get some professional help while he's young enough to turn his life around.

Drama drama drama. LSU fans seemed kind of split on whether or not they wanted him gone. You guys dodged an ongoing locker room cancer distraction.

Jerry Jones will take a gamble on him with a late draft choice, and he will star in a very special episode of Hard Knocks.

As bad as he soured my opinion of him, I still hope he gets his shite together. Seems obvious now that he deals with severe mental problems and football exacerbates them. Tons of pressure does not mix well with mental illness.
