Watch Great White Shark Send Surfer Back To Shore In Terrifying Video

A surfer in South Africa was sent scurrying back to the beach by what appeared to be a great white shark this weekend...

Some groms came in down the point and said they had seen a big great white close enough to see its eyes! Had @zoard throw the drone up to see if we could spot it sure enough shark was cruising up the point! Tried to alert @riowaida_ with drone it was nearing him and call people on beach to let the surfers know it was swimming right through lineup! All turned out well everyone went in and and the shark just cruised its way up the point and went on its way! What a crazy thing to watch we know we playing in their home but to see how easily and mellow they can approach undetected is wild! @iangentil actually sprayed it

Spoke with a Navy vet years ago who was on the Indianapolis when it went down, watching the sharks coming at them. Just frightening. Brutal as life gets. And I thought I was having a “bad” day at work.

There is a dude who streams his fishing trips off florida east coast(space coast to jupiter,etc). He used to fish in a small john boat and would pull in bull sharks, hammers, tigers, etc. On his off days, he would fly his drone over areas he wanted to fish, and if people only knew how close the sharks were from them, when they are in the water, they would freak.

One had a family of 3, about 10 feet from each other, and 2 black tips, just swimming in between them, and they had no clue.

It's always crazy watching him catch a black tip, having it at the boat, and a hammer comes, takes a huge chunk, and takes black tip with him as his meal.

I did the parasailing thing at OB a few years back. I could not believe the number of sharks I saw and how close people were to them.

Yeah I'm totally content sitting under the tent on the shore drinking. Maybe go in the water deep enough to take a piss and go back to shore. No desire to be way out in the sand bars. Between rip tides and sharks, the risk outweighs the benefits to me.

The bull sharks are the real A holes at the beach. Not sure if they can go as shallow as waist level water though. Where's George Costanza when you need him.
