A scary accident happened last weekend on the Canary Islands at the Cicloturista Condaca Salmor Bike event when a woman, phone in hand, nonchalantly walked right in front of a cyclist in a blue uniform and yellow helmet speeding toward the finish line...

Having attended many cycling races on closed courses, I can tell you this. She saw he rider. She just didn't appreciate how fast he was moving and thought she had time to get across.
