Paul Finebaum Thinks Nick Saban Is Worthhhhhhh....
Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports
Nick Saban got a raise on Tuesday, he now will be paid $11.125 million this season under a three-year contract extension that includes a $4 million signing bonus. College football analyst Paul Finebaum was on ESPN Tuesday telling the world he thinks Alabama head football coach Nick Saban is actually getting underpaid and is worth more like $100 million...
quote:

“Nick Saban’s worth 50 or $100 million to this program considering what he’s done, so I think this is a major bargain,” Finebaum said. “It also sends a message across college football that Nick Saban is not going anywhere. In my mind, he’ll finish his career at the University of Alabama.”

But the next time Saban loses a game, Finebaum will declare that the game has passed Saban.

Paul should be contributing to his salary. He's at ESPN now because of Saban being in Tuscaloosa.

50 or 100M is a pretty big spread for an estimate. So you're saying you might be off up to 100%

If Ruth Bader Ginsburg had a baby for Mr. Peanut, it would be Paul Finebaum.

So Alabama basically locked Saban up until he retires... ok, I think we all expect that anyway. Really, I wonder if Bama made a bit of a mistake. All the insane money coming in, comes from the TV contracts. And yet, ESPN just fired a ton of people, because they're finding that their income/output is stretched too thin. I think the bubble is going to burst, and those gigantic contracts based on TV money is going to put some programs in a tight spot.

If teams (including LSU) quit playing conservative and scared vs Bama then they will start dropping a few games. Saban will be a miserable frick when that happens. Ole Miss, Clemson, Ohio State all won it shootout games.
