If Alabama head coach Nick Saban wins another championship this season, don't expect him to be celebrating with alcohol...

“No drinks,” Saban said. “I used to drink. When we had kids and my kids were growing up, I decided I didn’t want to set that kind of example for them. So I just quit drinking, and it’s probably the best thing I ever did. Never had a hangover. I just don’t do it.”

“You have more fun and you enjoy it more (when you don’t drink),” Saban said. “You build your relationships more. It’s been a good thing for me, one of the best things I decided to do.”

You can't make a horse drink water if he still prefers beer or is
too crazy to know what he does want. Set a pail of water beside
him, tell him how good it is and why, and leave him alone.

Admirable reason. I never saw my dad sitting around just drinking to get drunk. Never really saw beer in the fridge growing up. Drank lightly in a social setting though. Cool and funny when tipsy/tad drunk, so that always helps. I turned out the same, so was a positive influence.

I don’t blame anyone for making the decision not to drink. I also have no issue with it being done in moderation. I drink every now and then but have seen too many alcoholics flush their life down the tubes to abuse it on the regular.
