Recently an anonymous coach accused Alabama Nick Coach of cheating via a annual survey compiled by CBS Sports. Well, while on Colin Cowherd’s radio show this week FAU coach Lane Kiffin addressed those comments...
quote:

“He’s the best recruiter in the world because of the time he spends,” Kiffin told Cowherd. “He’s on the phone with recruits every single day. at night he has a list of recruits he’s personally calling himself.”

“The only cheating they do is he works harder than everybody else.”

As an AU guy, I hate Bama and Saban, but I also don't think Saban cheats (at least no more than anyone else). I think he's just obsessed and works harder than most others. Think about it, if he were cheating do you not think other SEC coaches would know about it? They are the ones out there on the recruiting trail facing off against him every day. Rival coaches know far more about his recruiting tactics than do fans on a message board AND they have much more to lose (by letting him cheat) than we do. Hell, Kirby Smart worked on Saban's staff for years. Do you think now that Smart is at UGA that he's going to tolerate cheating from Bama? How about Muschamp and Pruitt? They also have a lot to lose by letting Saban cheat. And if ESPN or the sports media ever got wind of cheating, it would be a massive story. Do you not think they'd love to break some news like that? Yes, the Alabama media would cover it up, but the national media wouldn't. TONS of sports journalists despise Alabama too. And if you're going to blame cheating, then explain Alabama's record post Bear Bryant. Yeah, they had some good 9-10 win seasons and an SEC title here and there, but they were nowhere near as good as they are under Saban. And Bama cheated like a mofo back then and still only won 1 national title ('92). So if cheating is the key, why weren't those 80's and 90's teams dominating? We KNOW they cheated and yet they weren't that great. Saban can be beaten. AU has proven it. Tubs beat Saban at LSWHO and Gus has beaten him twice (almost 3 times) at AU. Or maybe we just cheat harder than Saban. I dunno.

Look the Saban has plausible deniability as to what the boosters do with cash to recruits. All teams have bag men that handle this stuff to keep the coaches arse clean and clear. Ask Lane Kiffen about the bag men. That’s the real story.

Really sounds like Saban has found something in his life he loves to do and is very good at it.We should all be so lucky.

Sounds like he never recovered from failing at the highest level, and has resolved himself to being the richest Jack in the deck.

When football is your life and you’re good at it, it’s not sad.

When Candy isn't there anymore and it is just you and Mrs. Terry, you spend all night on the phone with recruits. Makes sense to me.

Trust me Cajun, people did not love Saban when he was at LSU. Most did not even like him. Appreciate the time and effort he put in on behalf of LSU but he was far from loveable.

Man some of you people on here are fricking hilarious. If Nick Saban was still coaching at LSU everyone on here would love the guy. Now do I disagree with him leaving LSU and go to the pros for two years and quit hell fricking, yeah I do. And he goes to fricking bama to recruit from Louisiana. But come on man the guy is a great fricking coach and kids go there to learn from the best and win championships. So for pete sake cut the guy some slack. And this year we will blow their asses up in tiger stadium. We coming geaux tigers.

correct. If Saban were coaching here, we'd all love him. It's just envy, and it's childish.

Saban was considered an a-hole by many during his time at LSU, but he was our a-hole then. The truth is that Saban was great for LSU. He laid the foundation for LSU's success over the past 18 years. It's a shame he decided to scratch his itch and we lost him to the NFL.
