Yea, I don’t know how Austin is sustainable. Most people here make less than anywhere else (because they get to live in Austin) yet the housing prices are out of control.

Was in SA for work recently and stayed in the Riverwalk. What a very nice, relaxing area. Brings in tons of revenue, tourism, etc. Great atmosphere, restaurants, and entertainment.
Why can’t BR have something like this? There is zero reason. Most will say demographic and ‘culture’ would ruin it...

Because the hotels are complete shite. Stayed at a Marriot Courtyard for work a couple years ago and it was on the same level as a run down Motel 6. It is really amazing how shitty Baton Rouge is. ...
