According to AL.com, former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker is guilty of a January incident with his estranged wife, country singer Sara Evans...

"On Thursday, he was convicted of reckless endangerment not involving a weapon, which is a misdemeanor, according to Kris Mumford, public information officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department," AL.com reports.

"It was not clear if Barker was found guilty or pleaded guilty to a lesser charge."

It's this and not hard to figure out. Although, at 49, you should be a little bit "shite happens" and move on. No one is worth jail time unless it's righting a wrong done to someone you love. If that person was complicit in the deed, move on

Jay was always presenting himself as the holy roller guy. There were stories that he wasn't nearly what he portrayed himself to be. I have no idea, super nice guy to talk to, just what I heard way back when. His biggest mistake was marrying a country music singer who has a rep for being hard to deal with. Maybe Jay can get his act cleaned up. I asked my wife last night, did she ever think in her wildest dreams Jay would have a criminal record before I did.
