Cincinnati’s Defensive Coordinator Has This Message For Alabama
© Kirthmon F. Dozier, Detroit Free Press
While talking to the media on Tuesday afternoon, Cincinnati defensive coordinator Mike Tressel revealed that his defense will throw some different looks at Alabama’s offense in Friday's Playoff matchup...
quote:

“You’re playing against a great quarterback, a great offensive coordinator, you have to give them some looks that they don’t know exactly what they’re looking at,” Tressel said, via 247Sports. “But because of that experience, the way our older guys lead our young guys and how well they know what we do, we’re able to spend time on those new things, and Alabama will see some things they haven’t seen before.”

And Nick Saban says, "Bring it on young man. Maybe you have forgotten that I am 70 years old, been coaching since I was 12, and made a deal with the devil 15 years ago."

Georgia had that plan also, don't do the stuff that got you there, throw some new stuff at Bama to fool them. Saban: "giggle"

Alabama players after hearing this: “We are always being disrespected. No one believes in us. We are going to go out and prove everyone who doubts us wrong. We are going to shock the world!”

Saban doesn't get confused. He seen all schemes. Cinn DC will have long night with that game plan.

With a month to prepare, shouldn't this be a given? Sorry, no gold stars Mikey.

A lot of teams implement entirely new looks and formations for Alabama. This isn't like some huge revelation. Alabama is used to it.

I believe Cincy's defense will also see things they haven't seen before...1)An OL that is significantly better than they normally play, 2)a lot more speed at the WR position than they are used to, 3)more overall playmakers on the opponent than they are used to, and 4)the best QB in college football...unless they get a pass rush that gets to Young, Cincy is in trouble.

Which part of the end zone does he think Bama has not seen before? They are going to live in there.

As a coach I would certainly take that approach but I damn sure would not advertise it to my opponent... Let them figure it out!!
