2362Analysts Aaron Murray & Chris Childers Think Alabama Could Beat This NFL Team...Buffalo Bills.
Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
Every year someone plays this little hypothetical scenario with Alabama, on Tuesday it was analysts Aaron Murray and Chris Childers on SiriusXM. The two were discussing the hypothetical of what NFL team the Crimson Tide could beat this year during their show and they netted out at...

Every time we see the Alabama would beat an NFL team, they end up dropping a game during the season.. so if Alabama can't even run the table at the college level, how are they going to beat an NFL team full of NFL starters?? Way too much depth..

Alabama has what 5 total nfl starters at most on their team right now? The nfl team would have 11 on each side of the ball. They would get wrecked.

You guys are so far off base . buffalo might win but it would be with in 10 points. Tua is very special. Buffalo does not have a quarterback.

Bama, and any other college team, would get wrecked by any NFL team. Way too much depth.. Regardless what you think of them. Every season someone makes the claim Alabama could beat so and so in the NFL.. then they drop a game at the college level.. does that mean the team that beat them could also beat the NFL team? Alabama would get abused by an NFL team and there's no shame in that.

This is always the worst argument in sports. Bills would score every drive unless they had a turnover. Would hold Bama to very minimal gains without a busted play. Would 35 ro 0 at halftime and they wouldnt even play the second half after realizing how stupid the first half was. I would say it is on par with saying the best high school team could play with arkansas.

"it is on par with saying the best high school team could play with arkansas." Exactly. Completely different levels and depth is going to be a huge difference. Alabama has maybe 5 NFL starters right now.. not projected down the line.. right now.. meanwhile the NFL team would have 11 NFL starters on each side of the ball.

Alabama will have like 10 players drafted and only half of those will be starters next year. Every single 1st string offensive and defensive player on the Bills is an NFL starter.

Relentlessly posting outlandish comments like this is what our sad, sad, sad journalists must do so they can put food on the table. News radio and dip shits like this are the reason creative journalism is at an all time low

So we're to believe that the coach with a sub .500 W/L record in the NFL, a coach who missed on the player who will hold most (if not all) passing records when he retires, and allowed a player who became one of most dynamic RBs in the NFL to leave his college team, would be able to coach up his team of 18-21 year olds to hang with a team NFL vets who do not have the restrictions of going to class and work at this as their career? OK. Saban is the best college coach ever but he and the NFL do not mesh. Bama would get annihilated.

6-10 guys a year get drafted at best a year, the rest are not good enough to make it or are too young and not ready. Yet somehow this team is going to beat an NFL team full of grown men that are at least accomplished enough to make an NFL roster? K

No, bama hasn't played anyone and Texas A&M will bring them down to earth. The Bill's would crush bama lol

aTm will be systematically dismantled this Saturday so I don't know why you would use this to base the mindset that the Bills would crush Bama. Just look at their QB...he was just above average at Wyoming last year. The rest of their team looks suspect as well. Bama might not win but it would be respectable.

Honestly, you could grab the 2018 All American College team, let them practice and scrimmage for a year and they would still get destroyed on the line of scrimmage. By this assessment, every player on bama's off and def lines will start next year in the NFL.....that's not happening.

I've always thought this was ridiculous but they may have a point with this team. Bama finally has a legit QB. They have had decent QBs in the past. No one and I MEAN NO ONE has had the level of success of recruiting these guys have had. USC was the closest back in the Reggie Bush/Matt Leinart days and Bama has passed that by miles. No one has come close to their recruiting and USC had legit movie stars hanging out at practice. 7 straight years of number-one recruiting classes has added up.

LOL No. Even if you assumed that the Bama roster and the Bills roster were perfect equals in terms of physical ability and talent (they're not), the Bills would still have exponentially more game experience and "football IQ." It would be a bloodbath.

Every player on the Bills was one of the best players on their college team and got better.
