The stranded frogs had a mile of powder and tons of downhill in front of them. Why didn't they just ski down? Follow the gravity, and whatnot.

Did you miss the injured part? Ever tear a knee skiing? You don't then "follow gravity" the rest of the way down hill.

I missed the injured part. There were no rocks or anything bad. It was smooth powder. Maybe another skier could have just dropped them off a tube of Vagisil on their way by.

Anterne is 50+ deg in spots so following gravity would be akin to jumping off a skyscraper to get to the ground floor.
