Would seriously doubt after this that any coach with any association with Hugh Freeze will remain after this year.

It's not like McGriff was blindsided by any of this. He knew what he was getting into and took a gamble. It might still ultimately pay off. Who knows.

Not just promoted, he got a fully guaranteed 3 year $3.3mil contract if memory serves.
He is pretty dang secure and he can easily find another position coach job when his DC contract runs out

I dont hink he was told exactly how bad it was. I am sure Freeze didmt tell him hey I called some hookers for recruits. He will be looking for another gig after this season.

Maybe not, but he had to have an idea it wasn't good. Schools usually don't give guaranteed $3.5mil/3yr DCord deals to guys with zero DC experience
